MWH Constructors (“MWH”) is seeking qualified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) subconsultants to support our upcoming proposal for the City of Ventura’s Advanced Water Purification Facility (AWPF) Construction Management Services Project (RFP WW12 1065). The AWPF project is part of the VenturaWaterPure program and is being procured under a federally funded framework, requiring compliance with 40 CFR Part 33 – DBE Good Faith Efforts. In accordance with Section 2.5 of the RFP, MWH is announcing forthcoming subcontracting opportunities and inviting DBE-certified firms to submit their interest and qualifications. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Construction of approximately 4,700 lf of 10-inch and 805 lf of 8-inch PVC purified water pipeline from the AWPF to injection wells located on Linden Ave and Meadow View Lane, including valves, blowoffs, combination air valves, and associated pipeline appurtenances. Construction of approximately 815 lf of 12-inch PVC backwash pipeline from the Linden Injection Well site to the Meadow View Injection Well site. Construction of a gravity backwash pipeline system including approx. 290 lf of 8-inch, 330 lf of 24-inch, and 250 lf of 12-inch gravity pipelines, junction structures, and a connection to the existing sanitary collection system. Construction of approximately 810 lf of electrical duct bank between the injection well sites. ARTICLE 11 – BUILD AMERICA, BUY AMERICA (BABA) REQUIREMENTS: This project requires full compliance with BABA. All iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials must be produced in the United States unless a Federal waiver is authorized.
