RFP 25-113 DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE UPGRADE OF THE INTERSECTION OF WILSON STREET AND 12TH STREET, HSIPSL-5214(018)

Based on the LRSP analysis, City staff recommends implementing countermeasures such as installation of curb extensions, ADA curb ramps, median refuge island, Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB), high visibility crosswalks, and advanced warning signs and pavement markings. The scope will consist of the preparation of Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) including construction support. The Consultant will be expected to handle all necessary coordination with Caltrans to ensure the project's successful completion of all work phases. The Consultant will have to show that they have sufficient expertise working with Caltrans District 8 staff to coordinate HSIP state funded projects, including the time and manpower commitments needed to secure funding for different phases of the project. The chosen firm's employees assigned to this project must possess pertinent expertise in working with Caltrans, including familiarity with and understanding of the Caltrans Local Assistance Procedures Manual (LAPM) and other relevant requirements.
