Bayshore Bikeway Segment 5 and Connections

The general scope of work is the construction of a complete bikeway network, pedestrian improvements, and vehicle travel safety components, and supporting infrastructure improvements along four joined segments: 1. MARSH SEGMENT: consists of improvements along the Paradise Marsh, and on marina Way, starting at the connection with the existing Bayshore Bikeway at the southern limits of the project, traveling north to the intersection of Marina Way and Bay Marina Drive. 2. SEGMENT 5 SEGMENT: consists of improvements on Harrison Avenue north of the intersection of Marina Way and Bay Marina Drive, on 23rd Street between Harrison Avenue and McKinley Avenue, on McKinley Avenue between 23rd Street and 14th Street (except between 20th Street and 18th Street), under the I-5 southbound on-ramp, parallel to Harbor Drive between the intersection with Civic Center Drive and BNSF’s right-of-way 3. RAILROAD SEGMENT: consists of improvements within BNSF’s right-of-way near the crossing of the railroad tracks on Harbor Drive. 4. W 19th St SEGMENT: consists of the improvements on 19th Street and 18th Street between Wilson Avenue and McKinley Avenue, and on McKinley Avenue between 20th Street and 18th Street.
